Owner/Optician

Michelle is a New York State Licensed Optician and Owner of Eye Appeal Optical. She has been in the optical industry since 1994. After many years in retail & private practice, she bought Eye Appeal Optical in 2017.
Michelle is passionate about eyewear hand-selects her frames with her patients in mind. Her goal is to make eyewear fun and have you leave feeling great.

Optometrist

Dr. Shin has been a board certified Optometrist practicing in New York for 26 years. She received her BS degree from SUNY Binghamton in 1991, graduated from SUNY State College of Optometry in 1995, and joined the Eye Appeal team in 2019.
Dr. Shin gives our patients meticulous care because she cares about their eye health. In her spare time she loves family and travel.

Optometrist

Originally from Connecticut, Dr. Khan completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Hartford. She attended The Pennsylvania College of Optometry. After four years of training, she is board certified and licensed in the state of New York in ocular therapeutics and treatment of glaucoma. She can treat eye infections, injuries to the eye, ocular surface diseases as well as provide pre and post operative care for LASIK and cataract surgeries.
Dr. Khan is a friendly, compassionate listener and understands that there is more to vision than just seeing 20/20.

Optician

With over 30 years experience in the optical industry, Suzanne is a highly respected licensed optician known for her in-depth expertise in eyewear and vision care. Throughout her career, she has worked extensively with a wide range of frame designers and leading lens manufacturers, giving her a comprehensive understanding of both fashion-forward styles and cutting edge lens technology. Her dedication to personalized service and precise fittings has earned her the trust of countless clients, from first-time eyeglass wearers to long-time eyewear enthusiasts.
Whether working with complex prescriptions or helping someone find the perfect frame to complement their look, Suzanne combines technical knowledge with a warm, consultative approach.

Technician

Gulianna has been working at Eye Appeal for 4 years - and we absolutely adore her energy.
Gulianna graduated from Dutchess Community College in 2025 and is still taking classes there. She has been working at Eye Appeal for 4 years. In her spare time, she loves going on vacations, going to the gym, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Office manager

Lisa brings exceptional organizational and communication skills to our office.
Lisa has been a lifelong resident of Dutchess County. For most of her career, she was an Executive Assistant at IBM. She joined our team in 2021 as our Front Desk Coordinator. Lisa brings a great sense of humor and exceptional organizational and communication skills to our office.

Chief Pup-tical Officer

When he’s not greeting customers with a tail wag and a toothy grin, Teddy oversees quality control on all things soft, squeaky, and stylish (especially bandanas).
He’s got a nose for great frames and a sixth sense for spotting smudges—just don’t ask him to adjust your bifocals.
He works for treats and belly rubs. Come say hi!
